Let's think of creative ways to put our birdies to bed:
1. If she flaps, turn her upside down so she is going into the door upside down and then turn her right up. Like with a child, pretend she is a space vessel or something.....or a bird!

2. Get a larger door (LOL)

3. TREATS. They love to have treats in their beaks when taken to bed. Or to have a treat that she WANTS to go inside to get.

4. DIVERSIONS. Do something below her head (like holding a pot holder or small towel)to take her attention away from avoiding the sleeping cage door.

It IS a hard lesson to learn that you WILL get bitten every now and then. AND it hurts! I hope your hubby gets over the fears. Sounds wonderful now!

Currently my husband is still putting Kobi to be at night. However, I don't know how long this is going to last because she is starting to pull the same tricks with him.

I liked the idea of treating her like a "space vessel" that may work. However, she does not react to food rewards anymore. Yes, we do need a bigger door! LOL!

I can get her to go in if I have to. But it takes a while. It is annoying when I have to spend 30-45 minutes to get her to go to bed. I may start from the beginning and teach her how to step up again...in which she hates it when I do that.
