Hi Bill,

What do you mean by fragrances? I mean in what form? Basically ANY fragrance that is artificial is bad for birds. If you mean an essential oil, you would need to be extremely careful about from whom you purchase because most of them have artificial ingredients in their products (even if you think they are a really good company), which is VERY dangerous for birds. There is a Yahoo group called Essential Bird that discusses what is good and bad and which manufacturers are the most pristine. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com and sign up with that group for that type of discussion.

If you mean scented candles or air fresheners with peppermint fragrances, stay away from them because they are artificial and VERY dangerous for birds. Any fragrance there is bad.
