intoduction to new cage

Postby Jenn » Wed Dec 06, 2006 8:02 pm

My grey hates change...I just got her a new cage. She is afraid of it. Any suggestions on getting her into it?? The new cage has been in the same room as her so she can look at it for over a month and we are not making any progress. Thank you for any advice.....

Play with it. Get excited about it. Spend a lot of time with it and getting excited about it. Put some of her toys on it. Once she seems a little curious, ask her if she wants to check it out. But wait until you have built enough excitement and are making her curious.

I have found that when buying a new cage.....get one the SAME COLOR as the current one. It becomes SO much easier to quickly introduce. That's just a hint for a future cage.

Please keep me posted.

GREY'T Blessings,
