Hi,
The answer is NO. Not unless it is THEIR idea. You start by putting them in separate cages that are far enough apart (ie..across a room) so that they have their own territories. Or you can put them side by side but with 4-5 feet space between their cages.
Over time, when (and IF) they start hanging out in each other's cages, it is safe to experiment and move them together slowly. HOWEVER, never do it without this process.
If there are two greys in the same cage that are not very close, one gets more aggressive and dominant while the other becomes more nervous and passive. Why do that to two beautiful animals? Here is a link to an article about my experiences of "DOING THE WRONG THING." http://www.africangreys.com/articles/overview/livingmerl.htm
Good luck. Hoping this helps you.
Blessings,
Maggie-
