DNA testing

Hi everyone,

I just got our DNA results back today and found out that Marty really is a male but, so is Baby. 2 questions. Can I call him Buddy now? Or will this mess him up?
Also what does this mean as far as trying to get them to get along? So far I have kept them apart.

Hi Scott,

My Merlin is a girl. But I figured that since a "merlin" was a magical person or creature that I'd keep her name as Merlin. She actually started calling herself Merle, as well as Merlin. So, you could keep the name Baby or slowly change it, if you want to. Do it overtime, call him Baby and Buddy. If he starts responding to Buddy or calling himself Buddy, then you've accomplished it. Nothing wrong with him being called "a boy named Baby." LOL!

It is not ever wise to force two greys to live in the same cage. It must always be their idea if they want to do that. So, I would continue keeping them in separate cages and treating them like your two precious Grey companions. My girls are competitive with each other but they have learned overtime to tolerate each other. Your guys may get along well or be competitive, it all depends on their personalities. You three have an exciting journey ahead of you.

I know someone who has a boy named Sue!
I have changed some names over the years when I added birds to my flock. My newest is Abigail. She was named Reva.
She adapted well and responded to Abby the first time she heard it. She will now ignor Reva.
So it's really up to you. You can call him Baby Buddy!
